District Allstars ¨C State Park vs. Lake Station - 7/7 ¨C Pool Game (3):

For district pool game #3, State Park came away with a strong win over Lake Station 13-0 in 4-innings on 7/7. Leading State Park in hitting was Charlson and Peterson each with a perfect 1.000. Rounding off the strong hitting was Dujmovich and Ralph batting .667 and Conway, Hallas and Jugovic each batting .500. Also, Charlson and Dujmovich had out of the park home runs. The winning pitcher was Charlson with Kurek pulling off the save for a combined 1 hit shutout.

State Park finished district pool play on 7/9 with a decisive win over Longfellow in 4 innings. Leading State Park was Charlson, Conway, Dujmovich and Sufana all batting a perfect 1.000 with Conway, Dujmovich and Porter all with extra base hits. Winning the game on the mound was Jugovic with Conway the save. Also pitching were Ennis and Notzen. State Park finishes pool play as the only undefeated team out of 15 teams in the district at 4-0.

State Park starts bracket play this Thursday, 7/16 against Merrillville at 8pm at the Portage fields.
