2025 Spring Baseball

State Park Little League (SPLL) was established in 1953 for the purpose of providing fields and equipment to help “guide the girls and boys of Westchester Township to develop into good citizens by providing a properly supervised baseball program."

SPLL has grown from a 48 player, 4 team program in 1953 to a nearly 400 player, 24+ team program offering multiple divisions of play. The league has 3 dedicated fields in its complex on 250 League Lane and access to multiple parks and school fields in Chesterton, Porter, and Burns Harbor.

Registration Fees below include a Fundraiser commitment. Families will be provided raffle tickets that can be sold to friends and family in the community to help offset the registration fee. The raffle will be held on Opening Day.

Tee Ball - $105 Fee and $50 Fundraiser - $155 Total

Never played before. Complete coach/parent involvement on the field during each game.

Minor B (Coach Pitch) - $105 Fee and $100 Fundraiser - $205 Total

If participated in Tee Ball year prior)- 8 - Coach pitch/kid pitch/machine pitch
Coaches are very instructional still at this level.
On the field to assist players, machine pitch to assist with hitting and fielding
Partial kid pitch- to allow kids to get the feel for pitching the ball and the batter to hitting off a live pitcher.
There are no walks, leading off, or stealing in this league.

Minor A (Player Pitch) - $105 Fee and $100 Fundraiser - $205 Total

Ages 8-10- Kid Pitch
This division is ASSESSED and DRAFTED by the coaches.
Still instructional, however, played on a more competitive level.
Players can walk and steal. Leading off is still not permitted.
Players pitch and follow the Little League pitch count rules
Participate in the Taber Tournament during the season.

Major - $105 Fee and $100 Fundraiser - $205 Total

Ages 10-12
Competitive play following rules of Little League and State Park Supplemental Rules.
Players are ASSESSED and DRAFTED by the coaches.
Teams will participate in Connor's Tournament during the season.

50/70 - $105 Fee and $100 Fundraiser - $205 Total

Ages 12-13
50' pitchers mound and 70' base paths
Leadoffs, steals, balks, etc become a significant part of the game
Competitive play following Little League Interleague Rules for District One.
Players are ASSESSED and DRAFTED by the coaches.

Juniors - $105 Fee and $100 Fundraiser - $205 Total

Ages 13-14
Full 60'6" mound and 90' bases
Full comparable rules to the High School level
Competitive play following Little League Interleague Rules for District One.
Players are ASSESSED and DRAFTED by the coaches.

All-Stars - Selection takes place toward the end of season

If selected, parent meetings will be held to discuss associated fees and scheduling.

Volunteer Information

State Park Little League is run by volunteers in the community and we can use all of the help we can get!

To encourage volunteering the Board has added a $50 Non-Volunteer Fee due at Registration. If you wish, you can sign up to volunteer for 2hrs in the concession stand during the season and your volunteer fee will be returned to you with proof from our concession team.

Non-volunteer fees will go towards keeping the concession stand open and staffed for the 2025 Spring Season!

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities from Coaching to Concessions to Field Maintenance. Please sign-up to do your part and allow us to create great experiences for the kids in our Duneland community!

A $25 Fee will be added to late registrations after the March 9, 2025 close date.
